Although still images preceded moving image, Cinema has gained the status of art because of its capabilities to tell appealing stories to the mass. Photo-stories, sequences and staged tableaux found in Photography are revealing this deep influence.

This photo is taken of the series “Pattern of Thoughts”, where the heroin is looking to escape from Saigonese buildings. These vertical mazes are represented by stairs, long corridors, doors which seem to lead to nowhere.

With a cinematic composition, the series is reflecting the psychological and personal state of mind of the heroin, taken in chase by her own internal thoughts.
